The Community Needs Assessment explores what the NYC community knows about prejudices and inequities currently built into our mental healthcare systems. This information will help the REACHES Initiative understand how best to provide knowledge about mental healthcare system prejudice to the community. The REACHES Initiative aims to build educational partnerships to: 1) Provide empirically-based, multi-professional, recovery-oriented resources; 2) Eliminate mental healthcare systemic prejudice; and 3) Promote community multicultural collaboration. Your privacy is important to me: all information will be used only without identifying information and in aggregate. Please feel free to reach out (using the contact form on the connect page) with any questions. And, please add any additional information we have missed in the open response at the end of the assessment. Thank you so much!
If you’re interested in finding out more about these systemic challenges, consider attending a class! Topics include psychology history, diagnosis, nature-nurture, and unusual psychological experiences. You can find out more on the Services page. Sign up to attend by sending a message on the connect page!
